About this site
This blog is dedicated to information regarding toys, and the recalls related to them. Most of the posts are simple listings of the various toy recalls that have taken place since January of 2007. I will continue to try and keep them as up-to-date as I can.
The pages regarding toys made in the United States & Europe list toy companies who continue to make at least some, and in many cases all, of their toys in their home countries. They have (largely) not outsourced to China, and are thus generally subject to far more regulation than those that have chosen to do so. As a result, they are the companies that I choose to support – and which I urge you to do the same.
Due to all of the recalls over the past year, especially those due to lead, I simply can not support Mattel & company. They have proven themselves untrustworthy with the safety of my son. I can not risk his health for toys. There are far too many options out there – they may not be in Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, or K-Mart, but they do exist. This site is dedicated to helping others to find safe toys for their children – just as I do for my son.
